CHARACTER INFO
Name: Megara, aka Meg
Gender: Female
Source: Disney's...Hercules...
Canon point: during "Zero to Hero" where she is not on-screen
Age: ........idk, 20something, let's say 25.
Colour: #C277E5
Chumhandle: chthonicCharisma

History:
So who even knows what time period in Grecian history Meg is from, it's basically the "Age of Heroes" but what even is that chronologically??? But basically it is circa when Theseus, Jason, Achilles, Odysseus &etc. were around, though I believe Hercules movie-wise comes after those gentlemen. So the Trojan War happened, also all of That Thebes Bullshit (Oedipus' & Pentheus' downfalls respectively. Thebes is terrible and beset by monsters 300% of the time). However, I will totally bend chronology to suit my jokey whim, in the spirit of the movie.

Headcanons time: Meg is Theban, a city-girl through and through. Also, probably she is an hetaira, who're basically educated Greek courtesans. This is my rationale for why she wears only that skimpy-ass chiton and had a boyfriend. The boyfriend died (monster accident? this is Thebes after all), and Meg was so distraught that she made a deal with Hades, Lord of the Dead--eternal (? it is unclear, Hades makes a side-comment about years which makes me think it is not forever but like..........please, it's basically forever because of manipulative villains) servitude in exchange for boyfriend's life. Then said lousy boyfriend runs off with another lady.

Bummer.

So now she is stuck as Hades' deeply unenthusiastic lackey, having made that deal entirely for nothing, thanks a fuckton, jerk. She's been working for him maybe six or seven years by now, and she has never stopped hating herself for it.

Personality:
Sassy as hell (haha no wait that's a terrible joke). But Meg is a whole lot quicker with snappy comments than the usual Disney heroine, and she is also a whole lot more consciously sensual. She knows how to get what she wants, and because sexism it's mostly through her looks and her voice and the way she moves--her act is over the top, sure, but that's part of the charm. Meg is ridiculous, and she is well aware of how ridiculous she is. (She is also pretty sure she invites whatever sexual harassment she has to endure as part of her ""job."")

The wall of sarcasm she's built around herself is nigh impenetrable. It's the rare individual who can get her to admit something truly honest about herself. She makes no secret about disliking Hades when speaking with him, but that's nothing compared to her own self-loathing. She was stupid enough to make a deal with a hell god, after all. For a man. Speaking of, she is so not enthused with the prospect of love. Never again. Nope. Not her. I seriously doubt anyone in JJ is going to break down all of that internalized misogyny and determination to never, ever, ever make herself vulnerable like that again, at least not anytime soon. Even though Herc accomplished that in like what, two days? Shhhhhhhhhhh.

For you see, Meg is an INDEPENDENT WOMAN who needs NOBODY'S HELP. Truthfully she can either talk or seduce her way out of most terrible situations, but she has a hard time admitting when she is in entirely over her head. She projects an aura of takes-no-shit, gives-no-shit. For the most part, this is in fact true!

Meg is actually very kind and caring when she has reason to be. She can come off as condescending, which is probably an accurate assessment, but she doesn't ever really mean ill toward anyone. Unless she does. I see her as holding a rather mean grudge toward those who've pissed her off, even if she never acts on it. She's not the vengeance type. That's the other Meg.

Abilities & physical limitations: Dislikes flying. Definitely and decidedly a normal human, though I suppose she has the ability to see random shapeshifting Disney side-villains for what they really are. Also, those hips do not lie.
Appearance: This dame. But also, this.
Notable AU differences from canon, if applicable: not applicable, unless you count the entire movie as a Greek mythology AU! I sort of do.

Strife Specibus: potterykind. This includes plates that she can throw like frisbees!
Prototyping: A Pegasus action figure.
Title: Muse of Scorn
In-game abilities: All we know about the Muse class seems to be that it is the most passive class, which will really sit well with Meg. I'm gonna hold off on any class description til we get more canon info. Meg however is going to have some preconceived notions here, which will be interesting!

Scorn is exactly what it sounds like: harsh critique of herself and others, with an end to improving overall performance. Maybe.

Her class and aspect together are in fact the embodiment of passive aggressive.

Planet: The Land of Styx and Stones is a very bad joke a flat plain, empty of everything but long, waving grasses and asphodel flowers. Hidden among them, however, is a stairway that leads beneath the surface to a sequence of labyrinthine caves. The walls consist of colorful layered stone--blue, green, purple--with veins of gold and silver shot through in defiance of all real geology. A river winds through the caves, clear-watered but apparently bottomless. Stepping in it would be a bad idea, probably, so it's a good thing the ram consorts ferry themselves and any visitors down the river. Unfortunately their ferries often sink and/or are eaten by the denizen Hydra, who has a taste for mutton.

RP Sample: heyooooo, still practicing but I'll get there.
